It's National Cat Day! Here's to all the anime cats who've made our lives even better!

To celebrate National Cat Day, we put together our top anime cats!See if your favourite made it into the list!



1. Jiji- (Kiki’s Delivery Service)

 

  Interested and indifferent. A bit of a jerk, but loving. Meek one moment and confidant the next! If there was the perfect picture of a cat, Jiji is it. Is it any wonder, coming from Studio Ghibli? That’s my list, but there are so MANY cats in anime, it’s too hard to list them all.

  2. Doraemon

A robot cat from the future, with a pocket like a T.A.R.D.I.S (it's bigger on the inside) and an extreme fear of mice (because they ate his ears). We love you Doreamon!

  3. Luna- (From Sailor Moon)

She’s an advisor and guide to Usagi Tsukino (no small task), it is Luna that brings together the Sailor Guardians. It’s fair to say, that without her, the Sailor Guardians would be absolutely lost.

  4. Cat Bus (My Neighbour Totoro)

It’s a cat and a bus. What more do you need to know?

  5. Chi  (Chi’s Sweet Home).

This is actually the cutest thing your eyes have seen since Mameshiba.

  6. Arthur (Code Geass)

Arthur appears in various places throughout the Code Geass 'universe', from school yards to hanging out with the Knights of the Round. While he is quite a minor character (OR IS HE?!), who occasionally causes major disruptions (like sending the whole of Ashford Academy) I think, he’s actually an important member of the story.

  7. Happy- (Fairy Tail)

Despite the fact that he was once referred to as a dragon, Happy is a cat. A flying cat! And he’s possibly the cutest character in Fairy Tail! What am I saying OF COURSE he's the cutest!
